Course Description

The 2025 Summer Course Program organized by the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro, offers an interdisciplinary and international academic experience under the theme “Emergin Trends in Artificial Intelligence”. Participants from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Labuan International Campus will join a blended program that combines thematic lectures, practical workshops, industrial visits, and cultural activities in Semarang. Topics will explore the application of Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, and Business Intelligence in various academic and industry contexts, equipping participants with both technical skills and cross-cultural understanding through interaction with UNDIP students, academic staff, and the local community. Key topics covered in the 2025 Summer Course include a wide range of applications of Artificial Intelligence in both business computing and multimedia. In the business computing domain, participants will explore predictive analytics and forecasting, business intelligence automation, natural language processing for business solutions, recommender systems, fraud detection and risk management, as well as sentiment analysis for market insights. In the multimedia field, discussions and hands-on sessions will cover computer vision and image recognition, AI-driven multimedia content generation, speech and audio processing. Through these topics, the program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to leverage AI for innovative solutions in diverse academic, industrial, and creative contexts. Targeted at students, academics, and industry practitioners, the Summer Course fosters collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation. It also serves as a platform for developing spin-off programs aligned with UNDIP’s flagship themes, thereby supporting the university’s internationalization agenda and contributing to long-term academic partnerships. Cultural programs and participant presentations will further enrich the experience, encouraging mutual understanding and global networking. Scheduled from 18 to 24 August 2025 in Semarang, the program brings together international and local experts to deliver an immersive academic and cultural experience that strengthens UNDIP’s position as a leading center for information technology education and digital innovation at the global level.
