Brief Introduction to Diponegoro Global Scholarship Programme
Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) is one of
the best, foremost and oldest universities
in Indonesia. Undip aims to become World
Class University in which provides
excellent education has become one of the
main focuses. Undip Global Scholarships is offered
to the international students who want to
pursue the master and doctoral programs
which are taught in English. Upon the
study completion, Diponegoro Global
Scholarship awardees are expected to play
an essential role in expanding the
international network and to the
ambassador in the global community
The program offers master and doctoral
degrees which are conducted by either
coursework or by research. The
scholarships covers a maximum of 4
semesters for master and 6 semesters for
doctoral program with a thesis submission
and journal publication as the final
milestone. The journal publication is
expected to be published in national of
international reputable journals (preferably
indexed by Scopus).
Scholarship Coverage and Duration
DGS Awardee will receive:
- Tuition fee waiver
- Airfare allowance which includes departure allowance maximum IDR 5.000.000 and return allowance maximum IDR 5.000.000
- Settlement Allowance of IDR 2.000.000* (paid only once upon arrival at Undip)
- Living Allowance IDR 3.750.000* per month, please be advised that this amount only sufficient to support one person living properly in Semarang. Hence, we strictly prohibit our awardees to bring their family. The allowance is only for those who reside in Semarang
- Thesis financial support amounting to IDR 2.000.000 (paid only once)*
- Internet Allowance only for those who reside outside of Semarang
- Health Insurance provided by Undip (if the cost of medical services exceeded coverage amount, the difference should be borne by the student)
- Graduation support fund amounting to IDR 300.000*
- The Scholarship will be terminated when the student has finished their study, failed to accomplish minimum grade, or exceeded the study period

- Letter of Recommendation issued by Academic Supervisor from Universitas Diponegoro (for Doctoral Degree*)
- Certificate copy of TOEFL ITP 525 or IELTS 6.0 or equivalent*
- Proof of Enrollment from Home University*
- Latest Academic Transcripts*
- Certificate of Financial Guarantee (Bank Reference with a minimum of US$1,500 or equivalent)* Download Template

Eligibility
Nationality and Passport
- Applicants must be non-Indonesian passport holders.
- Must possess an official (non-diplomatic and non-service/work) passport valid for at least two (2) years from the registration date and no later than December 31, 2027.
- Applicants for the Master’s degree must not exceed 35 years of age as of December 31, 2026.
- Applicants for the Doctoral degree must not exceed 40 years of age as of December 31, 2026.
- Applicants for the Master’s program must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants for the Doctoral program must hold a recognized Master’s degree.
- Master’s degree applicants must be recommended by the Dean of their Faculty or equivalent authority at their home university.
- Doctoral degree applicants must be recommended by their Academic Supervisor at their home university.
Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency with a minimum score of:
- TOEFL ITP: 525, or
- IELTS: 6.0, or
- Equivalent internationally recognized test.
Medical Requirements
Applicants must submit a certified medical report issued within the last three (3) months, including:
- General physical examination
- Infectious disease tests (Tuberculosis, Syphilis, HIV/AIDS, Ebola, and Mpox)
- Mental health assessment
- Negative drug screening test (amphetamine, methamphetamine, marijuana, morphine, and benzodiazepines)
Applicants must not be married to, engaged to, or in any formal relationship with an individual eligible for Indonesian citizenship or permanent resident status at any stage of the application, selection, mobilization process, or during the scholarship period.
Pregnancy Declaration
Applicants must declare their willingness not to be pregnant during the scholarship period.
Military Service
Applicants must not be currently serving in the military and must not be scheduled to undertake military service during the scholarship period.
