Computational propaganda and disinformation in the digital public sphere have became increasingly important, complex, and critical topic of discussion in contemporary society. They create confusion and misunderstanding about the real world phenomenon. In many cases, including in Southeast Asia, the spread of disinformation is very political, aimed to manipulate public opinion towards certain political agendas. Studies to unveil the unwanted impact of this phenomen has been plenty, including strategies to strengthen community resiliency against disinformation. This one month summer course program titled ""Social media and disinformation campaign in Southeast Asia"" will provide participants, students and practitioners, the knowledge and ability to not only understand how disinformation works on social media platform using modes such as fake news or AI generated content, but also able to identify and apply countermeasure against the spread of disinformation in social media, particularly those with loaded political agenda. The program invites highly reputable scholars with expertise in the field of digital politics and democracy from various institutions, inside and outside of Indonesia.
