Indonesia is the country with geographical location in the Coral Triangle that makes it one of the countries with a mega biodiversity country in the world. As long as a function of Kawasan Konservasi Laut (KKL), it is needed an effort to protect and monitor that can ensure an availability of biodiversity in order to make it sustainable in this site. Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structure (ARMS) offers new approach in measuring marine biodiversity to achieve new standard in viewing biodiversity holistically in the ecosystem. Besides, this activity will also combine ARMS with the latest sequencing methods (Next Generation Sequencing and Third Generation Sequencing) to assess biodiversity more comprehensively using molecular approaches.
The Summer Course in Biology Science 2025 is held by the Department of Biology and Biotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), Diponegoro University, Semarang, Indonesia. The theme of this summer course is “Intergrating Science and Stewardship in Coastal and Marine Biodiversity Management”. The Summer Course 2025 is one-week activity that will provide the participants to knowledge and sampling skills in molecular ecology research.
