The IRUD Summer Course 2026, titled “International Crimes and the Struggle for Justice: Power, Norms, and the Future of International Law,” is an international academic program organized by the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro. Scheduled for 13–17 July 2026 and conducted online, the program addresses the growing complexity of international crimes and the challenges of enforcing global justice amid shifting power dynamics and geopolitical interests. Through a panel-based discussion format featuring international scholars and practitioners, participants will engage with key issues such as genocide, state aggression, the politics of international condemnation, women’s roles in peacebuilding, and the emerging concept of ecocide. The course also emphasizes collaborative learning through group discussions and reflective assignments. Beyond academic enrichment, the program supports institutional internationalization by fostering global academic networks and contributing to critical discourse on the future of international law and justice.
