Course Description

"The 1st ECHO Summer Course 2026 is an international academic program organized by the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro. ECHO stands for Eco Course for Harmony and Global Sustainability Outreach. This program is designed as a cross-continental learning forum that combines theoretical knowledge, practical insights, and field-based experience in sustainable environmental management. With the theme “From Waste to Energy: Sustainable Wastewater and Biodigester Solutions: Case Studies and Innovations from Uganda and Indonesia, ” this program highlights wastewater treatment, biodigester systems, circular economy, resource recovery, and waste-to-energy innovation. Through academic sessions, discussions, campus activities, group projects, and field visits, participants will gain broader perspectives on sustainable environmental solutions from both Indonesian and international contexts."
