SUMMER WORKSHOP “CITY AND ENERGY: TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY, RESILIENCE, EQUITY”

"The Summer Workshop 2026, themed “City and Energy: Towards Sustainability, Resilience, Equity,” aims to provide a collaborative learning platform for students to understand the dynamic relationship between urban development and energy systems through the perspectives of sustainability, resilience, and equity. Participants will explore various urban energy challenges related to the built environment, urban infrastructure, climate change adaptation, resource efficiency, and inclusive development. Through a series of lectures, site visits, collaborative discussions, group work, and final presentations, participants will examine real-world case studies in Central Java, including energy-independent villages, climate adaptation initiatives in coastal areas, and sustainable heritage-based development. The program encourages participants to develop innovative and context-sensitive solutions to support more sustainable, resilient, and equitable urban futures."
